Nine Arkansas Tech University students and an ATU faculty mentor participated in The Washington Center National Security Seminar in Washington, D.C., May 14-22.

The ATU delegation at the event consisted of (from left-to-right) Barry Findley of Little Rock, Dr. Christopher Housenick, Yesenia Arias of Guymon, Okla., Brandon Ramirez of Rogers, Roxi Aliabadi of Rockwall, Texas, Maysie Morgan of England, Abby Tate of Russellville, Abbie Warren of Hector, Alexis Pridmore of Russellville and Dayton Lamb of Clinton, Mo.

According to information provided by The Washington Center, the seminar provided students with opportunities to “interact with experts and public figures, go behind the scenes of organizations throughout the city, discover new career paths and come away with a competitive advantage.”

ATU regularly offers opportunities for students to engage in study away programs through The Washington Center.
