‘Revenge Doesn’t Exist’ – Real Madrid Star Reacts to Playing in Paris Again After PSG Exit

Date:

Real Madrid standout Kylian Mbappé is back in the French capital for the first time since leaving Paris Saint-Germain this past summer as a free agent. As a result, the media in the country want to know what the player feels being back.

France will host Italy at the Parc des Princes as UEFA starts their Nations League competition. The France national team captain spoke to the media on Thursday ahead of the match on Friday.

Although the 25-year-old could face boos from the home crowd, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner notes that there’s no ill will toward his former club and that he wants them to succeed.

“Everything is working very well,” Mbappé said (h/t Diario AS). “Maybe it’s my age, but I’m learning that revenge doesn’t exist. What happened last year, happened. I have only good memories. PSG is a club that gave me everything, and I spent seven wonderful years there. I truly wish them the best.”

Mbappé had a slow start to the 2024-25 La Liga season, but he’s hitting his stride heading into the international break, netting two goals in his recent match against Real Betis.

On the other side, PSG have done well without their all-time leading goal scorer with the Parisians scoring 13 goals in their first three league matches.
