Who Was Shirley Rodriguez, Woman Stabbed To Death In Washington Heights, Manhattan?

Shirley Rodriguez, a 29-year-old woman, died after being stabbed multiple times outside her home in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York, early Monday morning. Rodriguez’s ex, a 33-year-old male, is believed to be the suspect in the killing and is currently at large, per the police.

Rodriguez, who lived in an apartment building on Haven Avenue, near West 175th Street in Washington Heights, was stabbed multiple time in the head, neck and shoulder, at around 5:30 a.m. Monday, the New York Post reported citing law enforcement and other sources. She was found unconscious by first responders, after which she was taken to Harlem Hospital where she died of the injuries.

Sources told the Post that the law enforcement believe that the 33-year-old man, who was wearing all black during the stabbing, is the woman’s ex-partner and the police are probing the attack as a domestic crime. After stabbing Rodriguez, the suspect fled into the nearby Fort Washington Park, per the police.
