Arsenal Position on Barcelona PSG’s €70M Transfer Target Emerges

As 2025 approaches, Viktor Gyökeres has caught the attention of several top European clubs, with Sporting Lisbon reportedly open to selling their star striker. Among the suitors, one club seems to be leading the chase for the Swedish forward.

According to L’Équipe’s Loïc Tanzi, Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close eye on Gyökeres and are preparing to make their move in the summer of 2025. PSG’s sporting advisor, Luís Campos, has reportedly already reached out to the player’s representatives.

Manchester United are also in the running, with coach Rúben Amorim—who previously worked with Gyökeres at Sporting—advocating for a transfer. The Premier League side appears determined to bring in the striker.

Meanwhile, SPORT reports that Barcelona are considering a €70 million bid for Gyökeres, with plans to loan him back to Sporting for another season.

Arsenal had a front-row seat this week when the Gunners faced Sporting on Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League. The Premier League side secured a convincing 5-1 win over the Portuguese club and a report now reveals the English club’s stance on the Swedish standout.

TBR Football reported on Friday that Gyökeres’ recent goalless outing against Arsenal hasn’t affected the club’s interest in the Swedish star. The Gunners still highly value his abilities and include him among several strikers they are considering to strengthen their attack next year.

Furthermore, TEAMtalk reported on Friday, citing sources, that Manchester United, Newcastle United, and PSG are the clubs most interested in Gyökeres.
