Louisville basketball fifth-year forward Kasean Pryor left Friday’s Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis championship game against Oklahoma after suffering an apparent left-leg injury less than a minute into the second half.
On the defensive end of the court, Pryor was clipped by one of his teammates, senior point guard Chucky Hepburn, who fell to the ground while trying to guard a driving Jeremiah Fears.
Pryor pounded the court in pain while he was down and, with the assistance of a couple of Cardinals staff members, limped back to the team’s locker room at Atlantis Paradise Island resort with 19:02 to play in regulation.
Entering the final seven minutes of regulation, U of L play-by-play announcer Jody Demling said on the radio broadcast that Pryor emerged from the locker room in a wheelchair being pushed by his dad and was sitting at the end of the team’s bench.
Before the injury, Pryor had tallied six points on 2-for-9 shooting, two rebounds, four assists and a steal in 13 minutes. For the season, the Chicago native is averaging 13 points — good for third on the team — and 6.8 rebounds across 24.7 minutes per contest.
