Nuno Borges vs Holger Rune Prediction, Betting Tips & Odds │2 MARCH, 2023

The tennis world has relentless action and the ball doesn’t stop during any week. There are a lot of times when tournaments other than Grand Slam bring a stacked deck and thus, we have to follow every tennis tournament closely. In another professional tennis scene, Nuno Borges takes on Holger Rune.

Nuno enters the game after defeating Nick Chappel 6-3, 7-6 in the Round of 32. Nuno had a 65-56% first serve advantage and plucked a 71% win on first serve. Borges had a 31-23 receiving points advantage and a 52-47 service points edge. Borges has enjoyed some decent success since last year and after being a top-quality player in the Challenger scenario, Borges has upped his game and reached the 85th rank. Will the Portuguese be able to crack the top 50 rankings anytime soon?

In the Round of 32, Rune was pushed to his limits by Ben Shelton but he won 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 to continue his stunning rise. The service game of Shelton was strong but Rune recovered well to win on the first serve to earn a close 66-64 service points advantage. On the other hand, Holger dominated the receiving points end, piercing a 31-20 receiving points edge. Rune has already become a top-ten player at the edge of 19 and he seems to be getting only better with each day.

This is the first time these two will meet.

While Nuno has been expanding his game lately, Rune is a big challenge for him. He has the tendency to wilt against high-ranked players and Rune is known to extract an advantage against players outside of the 50th rank. That’s why I favor Rune winning this game in two sets.
