While you’re bustling about getting last-minute tasks completed to prepare your holiday table this week, take a moment to dig through this sneak peek of our upcoming Thanksgiving edition.
First things first, a scheduling note. Your Thanksgiving print edition will arrive on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the Press & Sun-Bulletin will be available via our E-Edition at pressconnects.com. It will have additional stories, plus our daily puzzles and comics.
Wednesday is when you will receive our traditionally teeming Thanksgiving print edition, the biggest our subscribers see all year, with strong stories and guides to your holiday season interwoven with layers upon layers of store ads so you can start planning your Black Friday shopping before you even prep the turkey.
Speaking of Black Friday, we’ll have the store hours you need to get ready, from the Oakdale Commons to the Vestal Parkway and every big store in between.
Reporter Riccardo Monico will unpack the latest energy news in Binghamton, and how a tech industry designation will shape the Southern Tier’s economic future.
He’ll also introduce you to the newest restaurants in town and what you need to know about them, especially if you’re planning a visit this holiday weekend.
At the regional level, reporter Jeff Murray will take a look at the political landscape, and how our local leaders believe the next few months will unfold.
And in sports, reporter Kevin Stevens ushers in the 30th high school football tournament in New York by taking readers back through some of the state’s most eye-catching playoff stories from 1993 to today.
Our Thanksgiving paper will also have a special bonus section, featuring:
- A guide to sports viewing for the holiday weekend
- Two full pages of recipes, plus the numbers for food-related hotlines
- The Giant Thanksgiving Crossword. It’ll be two facing pages across to test your family’s puzzle-solving skills
- Kids coloring and games, as well as other games and puzzles for adults
- The folks at Reviewed, part of the USA TODAY Network, will provide their ratings for hot items this holiday
- More stories about how Americans are giving thanks this holiday, as well as a list of important dates to remember through the season
If you’re already a subscriber, look for this holiday issue to arrive Wednesday. If you’re not, you can pick up a copy of the Press & Sun-Bulletin at your nearest grocery store or gas station.
And if you’d rather read online, be sure to check us out through the week when we’ll be publishing these and other local stories aimed at getting you through the holiday season.
From all of us at the Press & Sun-Bulletin, have a happy Thanksgiving.
