Overview:

The Under Armour Lead Graphic Designer creates high level print and embroidery graphic concepts, via sketch or final art, or for everyday rush requests, Wholesale lines, special art collections, sales presentations, and special events according to standard protocol and systems. Able to do light art direction on projects and communicate appropriate information to the design team as needed by Creative Manager. Acts as second in command when the Senior Manager is unavailable. Possesses excellent creative design skills, production skills, communication skills and have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing decoration standards and art systems.Responsibilities:Responsible for a large percentage of new creative concepts chosen for samples lines twice a year, either in creation or via art direction (per Creative Managers request).Develops a strong working relationship with Designers, Graphic Artists, internal and external teams and vendorsShadows Creative Supervisor/Creative Manager on art direction and communication where appropriate to the design team, including art critiques.Communicates solutions/questions to the Creative Manager or Creative SupervisorDemonstrates strong market, trend, and attribution knowledge.Stays current on design styles and trends in the market through retailing, web, & industry trade shows. Integrates market trends, in a brand-right manner, into seasonal line design and other projects.May act as liaison to meetings when Creative Manager/Creative Supervisor is not available.Works with Creative Supervisor and utilizes the team to develop, organize, and plan graphic tools and sales meeting materials including presentation format.Has a working knowledge of cost as it relates to the decoration processes. Gains knowledge of costing by working with internal Hanes teams as well as Manufacturing to accurately determine what designs or special decoration processes will cost to produce.Works through the Merch/Brand teams, leads and directs all factory R&D to develop innovation in attribution keeping costing in the for-front of all development.Travel required (various locations) to work with internal partners, retail trending, trade shows and client presentations.
