Washington Civic Center to host Beaufort County job fair Wednesday – Washington Daily News

WASHINGTON, N.C. – If you’re looking for a new career, stop by the Washington Civic Center on Wednesday, May 1, for a chance to connect with local employers and learn about professional and educational opportunities.

The Beaufort County Workforce Development Team is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday. The job fair will feature two sessions; a morning session (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) exclusively for high school students, and an afternoon session (2-6 p.m.) open to the public. Washington Civic Center is located at 110 Gladden St., Washington, N.C. 27889.

Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and be prepared to discuss their career aspirations.

Local companies in fields such as manufacturing, retail, health care, law enforcement, emergency services, social work, government and education will have tables at the job fair. Representatives will provide information about job openings and/or educational and community resources they offer.

The Beaufort County Workforce Development Team consists of Beaufort County Community College, Beaufort County Schools, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Vocational Rehab, Rivers East Workforce Development Board, NCWorks and Beaufort County Economic Development.
